Lloyds Banking Group is working with RedArc to support its general insurance customers needing extra help after a traumatic claim such as a fire or flood.
The service is available to Bank of Scotland, Halifax and Lloyds Bank policy holders, once they have been referred by the Personal Claims Consultant managing their case.
RedArc’s services, which range from counselling to support with flashbacks and PTSD, can be used by customers even once their claim has been settled.
Tim Downes, Senior Claims Manager, Lloyds Banking Group, General Insurance, said: “When a customer makes a claim, our first priority is always to put right any physical damage to the property. However we know that the emotional hangover from a traumatic event can often last much longer.
“Following a successful trial last year, I’m really pleased that we’re now able to extend this service to all policy holders.”
Christine Husbands, Managing Director, RedArc, said: “Grappling with the devastation brought about by an event can put a tremendous amount of strain on individuals and families.
“Having long-term access to a dedicated nurse trained in supporting people who have experienced a traumatic event, along with specialist counselling or therapies can make a big difference at such a difficult time.
“Providing access to these services shows that Lloyds Banking Group’s General Insurance business understands the repercussions of major incidents.”
